Before the move
Take full backups, lower DNS TTLs 48 hours ahead and inventory everything: files, databases, email accounts, cron jobs and SSL.
Copy and test
Copy everything to the new server and test on a temporary URL before touching DNS.
Cut over
Do a final sync, switch DNS, and keep the old server running until propagation is complete.
After the move
Check forms, payments, email delivery and search console. Or let us do the whole thing for free.
